Tuticorin is a Port City, a Municipal Corporation and an Industrial City lies in the Coromandel Coast of Bay of Bengal. The project is implemented by SIPCOT to Supply water for the industries located in and around the SIPCOT Complex.
In Phase I, TWIC provided consultancy services for carrying out the survey activities such as Oceanographic study, Topographic survey, Demand assessment studies, selection of appropriate treatment scheme, preparation of feasibility report and finance modelling.
In Phase II, TWIC provided consultancy services for carrying out the survey activities such as confirmatory Oceanographic survey, Topographic survey, Onshore and Offshore Geotechnical survey, Confirmatory Demand assessment studies, optimization of treatment scheme selection, process engineering, detailed estimate preparation, Detailed project report preparation, Finance modelling and funding pattern, Assistance in obtaining CRZ clearance at Various levels, contract structuring and Bid process Management.
In Phase III, TWIC provided Consultancy services for carrying out the survey activities such as topographic survey, trial geotechnical Investigation to design the conveyance main connecting from the desalination plant to the End user points, Preparation of Detailed Project inclusive of hydraulic design, Pipe material selection, detailed cost estimate preparation and contract structuring.

Chennai is the capital city of Tamil Nadu and lies in the Bay of Bengal of Eastern India. The project is owned by CMWSSB to Supply water within the Chennai for potable purpose.
The project management consultancy (PMC) services were provided by TWIC for the construction of desalination plant and conveyance main. The services included project management (Review and approval of Onshore and offshore field study, engineering documents), Review of Basic Engineering & Detailed Engineering, Construction supervision, Review of expenditure statement submitted to Funding Agency, Third Party Inspection of machinery and materials, Ensuring procurement of Equipment and Supplies as per specifications, Quality and safety assurances, permitting support, Supervision of Erection and Trial commissioning.

|6.||Description of Work||a· SWRO Desalination plant at Cuddalore for the capacity of 11 MLD with Energy Recovering equipment (PX300 @ 284 m3/hr) includes all pre-treatment plants such as Flocculation, Sedimentation system (4×330 m3/hr), Gravity Sand Filter (3×440 m3/hr) and Pressure sand filter (16 x 94 m3/hr).
