Corporation of Coimbatore has decided to set dedicated water supply scheme with pillar reservoir as a source. Most reliable source of water supply – i.e. Pillur Reservoir water is considered for this project; so as to ensure long term sustainability of the scheme for the design period. The water supply at the rate of 135 litres / capita / day has been considered for this project.
TWIC has been appointed for preparation of Bid documents and Evaluation of Technical bids for the work of Dedicated Water Supply Scheme, Pillur Phase II, taken up under JNNURM Scheme by the Coimbatore city Municipal Corporation, Coimbatore.

- 125 MLD Water Treatment Plant at Velliankadu
- Conveying Pumping main for clear water from Treatment plant to existing Kattan Hill Tunnel
- Gravity main for clear water from Kattan Hill Tunnel exit to MSR at Ramakrishnapuram
- 30 Lakhs litre capacity Clear water Master Service Reservoir at Ramakrishnapuram
